“After only four days, the Prime Minister’s great plan to try to stop mass migration and save his own political skin, while desperately clinging on to the UK’s membership of the European Union, is in tatters. This is a crushing blow to Cameron's reform agenda as he needs unanimous agreement from all member states and already one of the most powerful countries in the EU has rubbished his plans. Poland is just one of the EU member countries that will not support the Treaty changes required by unanimity.
“What is truly stunning about this whole affair is that the Prime Minister just doesn’t listen. He has no understanding, or chooses to ignore, the UK’s obligations under EU Treaties that he as both a personal advisor to the John Major Government, and as Prime Minister of this country, has foisted on the British people.
"When will David Cameron realise that his renegotiation attempts simply just can't work? The British public have seen through the charade and realise it is just a cynical ploy to stop UKIP's advance.
"In addition to this, over 800,000,000 pounds a year is sent back to Poland in remittances from the UK according to the World Bank. The Prime Minister needs to stand up for Britain and say this money could be better spent in the UK."
