Steven Woolfe MEP, UKIP's Migration Spokesman commented:
"How much more data evidence on the detrimental effects of EU mass immigration into the UK do the other political parties need in order for them to realise that we must leave the EU immediately in order to get control of our borders. Those who support unfettered EU immigration into our country to serve their own lofty political dreams of a common European government based in Brussels are slaves to an outdated ideology. People want local and national controls over issues that affect their lives and migration is the number one issue in this category since the number of people arriving impacts all public infrastructure and services.
“Despite what the report says about local authorities throughout the country being impacted by immigration, London and south east continues to see the worst effects from overcrowding. Increasingly local councils are unable to plan ahead for schools, hospitals and housing for itinerant populations – whether legal or illegal. Many migrants think that the streets England are paved with gold and won’t stop coming until we face daily incidents and crises on our road, rail and health networks as a result.
“The most cynical arguments in response to these figures from EU enthusiasts is that Britain needs these immigrants in order to fill jobs in a growing economy such as in the construction and health sectors. It's a circular, self fulfilling prophecy. In reality, not all these new residents in Britain will work but all need access to public services, so if we controlled the number coming in, we wouldn’t need to build on our green belt and build out our services at a rate that required wage reducing immigrant labour!
“Today, the migration policies of all Britain’s other mainstream political parties are being seen for what the are - the incoherent economics of the mad house."
