Speaking to the Daily Express, UKIP Migration spokesman Steven Woolfe said :
"These bell weather numbers show just how ridiculous it is to reduce the argument of how many refugees the UK should take to one of individual compassion and whether private citizens should offer up space in their own homes. The number of migrants coming to the UK has much more profound effects on our communities than just how nice we are as a people and where immigrants will sleep.
"The impact on public services like health, education and on infrastructure like roads, water and sewage are too often ignored by campaigners who think that those of us who approach the refugee crisis with a head as well as a heart, are less compassionate than they are. The stark reality for many parents in Britain is that many communities are struggling to educate the children who already live in them. Simply wishing for the best in the future is not sensible public policy "
