To remember those who gave so much, so we can enjoy the freedoms that we too often take for granted.
To remember those who never came home to their families, because they took a stand for this great nation and what it stands for.
We have to always be grateful to those who made sacrifices whether it be in World Wars I and II, Korea, Northern Ireland and Afghanistan and all the conflicts in between. These men and women paid a heavy price for Britain. Given our uncertain world where there are enemies who do not share our sense of fairness and democracy, unfortunately, more will continue to have to give their lives to protect us in the future.
Lest we forget.
