With ‘devolution max’ now looking likely for Scotland, it’s time for England to demand more for its 56 million residents. The English appetite for change has never been stronger. To feed this hunger, I believe that the right of Scottish MPs to vote on English matters should be scrapped. Furthermore, I want to see a new constitutional settlement in place, with giving England a fairer deal at the heart of it.
This referendum has given the people of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland an appetite for a new constitutional settlement. I sincerely hope that in this new settlement, the 86% of the UK population who live in England get a fair deal.
